What is scaffolding? Are there different types? In addition, what are the safety requirements for scaffolding? And how to carry out the erection and assembly after acceptance? The purpose of the above questions is to let everyone know what will be said below. As a result, learning and mastering can be targeted to improve the efficiency of learning.

What is scaffolding? The correct and professional answer to this question is:

Scaffolding, also called scaffolding or staging, is a temporary structure used to support a work crew and materials to aid in the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings, bridges and all other man made structures. Scaffolds are widely used on site to get access to heights and areas that would be otherwise hard to get to. Scaffolding is also used in adapted forms for formwork and shoring, grandstand seating, concert stages, access/viewing towers, exhibition stands, ski ramps, half pipes and art projects.

A. The type of scaffolding

According to the erection location, it can be divided into outer scaffolding and inner scaffolding;

According to different materials, it can be divided into wooden scaffolding, bamboo scaffolding and steel scaffolding.

In addition, according to the structural form to distinguish, there are pole-type scaffolding, bridge scaffolding, portal scaffolding, suspended scaffolding, hanging scaffolding, scaffolding scaffolding and crawling scaffolding and so on.

B. Safety requirements for scaffolding

(1) The various materials used in the erection of the scaffolding must be qualified and meet the requirements for use. If it is a high-level scaffolding, its foundation must be solid. If necessary, calculations should be made before erection, whether it can meet the load requirements. In addition, we must also take measures such as drainage.

(2) The erection technology of scaffolding must comply with relevant regulations and specifications. After the erection is completed, the steel pipes, fasteners, scaffolding boards, and connection points on the top cannot be removed.

(3) The foundation of the scaffolding must be able to withstand the pressure of scaffolding and work, and the foundation should be flat. When erecting and dismantling, guard zones should be set up. In the event of strong winds or inclement weather, the scaffolding cannot be erected or disassembled. In addition, dismantling should be carried out from top to bottom.

C. Acceptance of Scaffolding

The acceptance of scaffolding is generally carried out after scaffolding has been erected and assembled. The specific content is:

Whether the foundation of the scaffolding is properly handled and the depth of embedment is correct and appropriate. The arrangement of shelves, poles, and spacing between large and small rails are in compliance with the requirements. Whether the scaffolding is connected to a wall or fixed part of the structure is safe and reliable. In addition, whether it is comprehensive and in place for safety precautions and safety devices.http://www.eg-scaffold.com/
